EasyJetʼs first flight arriving from Lyon landed at Budapestʼs Liszt Ferenc International Airport today, according to a press release issued by operator Budapest Airport. As of today, the low-fare airline will operate three flights a week on the route.

Demand in the Hungarian real estate market grew by 30% in the first quarter of the year as compared to the five-year average of first quarter’ lettings, reaching 84,410 sqm, or half of the record level registered in the last quarter of 2015, the Budapest Research Forum (BRF) said today in a market analysis.

Given the choice, 80% of foreign-owned companies would reinvest in Hungary based on the current situation, up from 71% in 2015, an annual survey of 227 companies carried out by the German-Hungarian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (DUIHK) showed, state-owned news agency MTI reported yesterday.

The Hungarian government is expected to submit a proposal that would levy a flat-rate tax on the rental market – an annual HUF 1,500 per square meter – in order to make the market more transparent, Hungarian daily Magyar Idők reported today.
